In 2020 I began looking for ways to show the polarized filter art. Due to the pandemic I felt the need to provide a different means of rotating the filter.
Entitled the Elbow-Bump, the rotation of the polarizing filter was hands free such that a lever was depressed by a person's elbow.
Four hummingbird subjects, shown here as window art, were provided with the Elbow-Bump.
Instead of rotating a filter in front, the Elbow-Bump rotated filters in the rear. The filter was just big enough for a 90 degree rotation. The shaft for filter rotation did not obstruct the view as it was outside of the artwork.
The rear filters are not black like expected for polarizing filters because they have a sheet of difusser paper on them.
Note that during 2020 the term Elbow-Bump was added to the Merriam Webster dictionary.
